We as the residence of Varietas endeavour to:

·       Uphold, with honour, the core principles and values of the University of Cape Town

·       Instil a sense of individuality whilst creating unity through embracing our diversity

·       Inspire academic excellence

·       Equip each student with the vital tools necessary to live a balanced lifestyle in a dynamic society

·       Inculcate a family ethos amongst the Varietas community

·       To operate the functions of the House in alignment with the values outlined in this Vision
